"I'm surprised you joined us today, Hon," Dyne fired up a conversation with Sephira as the two waited outside of the changing rooms.
"You know how I feel about shopping, Dad," Sephira folded her arms, "but Mazda asked me, so what could I do?"
"I don't think you've said no to her for anything since she arrived. You're going to spoil her at this rate."
"If I go to far, you, MOMO, and Sophie will keep us in line."
"I'll do my best. None of us are perfect, after all."
"Your girls still look up to you, Dad. But we can keep you in line too."
"I've been hearing a lot of things from you in the past few days that I wouldn't have expected otherwise until your deathbed repentance."
"As if you're going to outlive me. Since my birthday, I don't think I've ever felt so free. I mean, I can still feel the loss, but it no longer hurts to the point of suffocation. Elica keeps telling me it was repayment for saving her, but I doubt I'll ever be able to pay her back for that one. I'd have to name my firstborn after her or something."
"Sounds like a good idea to me."
"Though that's not for at least another 10 years I'm sure, and- Wait a second..." a lightbulb turned on in Sephira's head. "Alicia... Elica... Alica! Dad, I can name her after both her and Mom!"
"That's an even better idea. Though I think it'll be harder for you to keep it a secret than finding the right guy and giving birth to a daughter."
"Finding the right guy's going to be a bigger pain because he'll have to get your approval, you know. How much are you going to embarrass me in front of any potential boyfriends?"
"All part of the normal teenage girl experience. I wouldn't be a good Dad otherwise."
"Ugh..." Sephira groaned. Despite her recent change of heart and being more open about her feelings, she was still a teenager.

"Here we are," MOMO stated as she and Sophie exited the nearby changing room wearing Asian-inspired outfits they felt like trying on.
"Even cuter than I'd imagined, you two," Dyne winked, causing MOMO to blush at his compliment.
"Thank you, Daddy," she acknowledged.
"Not counting days in which you two don't see each other, I believe Daddy has made MOMO blush at least once a day since her arrival." Sophie observed.
"I see no reason to break the streak any time soon," Dyne grinned.
"Are you sure that's a record to be proud of, Dad?" Sephira sniped. "In some places, claiming you're making a teenage girl blush every day could get you arrested."
"I could always come up with a second challenge and get you to blush every day, Hon."
"Oh no! Leave me out of it!"
"I don't mind it, Daddy," MOMO smiled.
"And that line could be especially dangerous taken out of context," Sephira jumped in again.
"And just who was it who lost to her little sister in record time in their first game of Heroine and Villainess?" Dyne smirked.
"Dad, that's not fair!" Sephira's face turned red out of embarrassment.
"Today's quota has been met," Sophie observed.
"Sophie!"
"Do you two want to buy those outfits?" Dyne asked, getting back on topic. "They aren't your usual colors, but they do look really good on you."
"I'm okay with just trying it on," MOMO looked down at herself. "It is nice, but feels a little too fancy for my tastes."
"Me too," Sophie nodded. "These shoes would make it hard to fight if I had to protect everyone."
"Fair enough, girls," Dyne looked them over. "At least let Mazda take a look at you, okay?"
"Okay," they responded in unison.

"I'm ready!" Mazda stepped out of the changing room wearing a simple white shirt with blue skirt and striking her best fashion model pose.
"Hey, dresses really suit you well, Little Hon," Dyne gave her a thumbs-up.
"Hey, Mazda," Sephira noticed, "That shirt-"
"So I can look like Big Sis Sephira!" Mazda smiled proudly.
Just as she was recovering from her dad's teasing, Sephira's face started going even redder at how flattered she felt.
"Today's quota for Mazda has also been met," Sophie grinned.
"Where's Alexus?" Dyne asked. "I know you picked out something for her to try on."
"Mommy's still changing, so Aunt Merc told me to go on ahead." Mazda reported.
"(Translation: She's stalling as much as humanly possible,)" Dyne thought.
Before anyone could say anything else, the door opened again and a Mercedes who couldn't keep a straight face half-dragged Alexus in her outfit out into the open.
"Don't look at me!" Alexus whined and kept her face covered, sounding completely mortified. "Merc, what did I ever do to you to deserve this?"
"If we're counting, I can name quite a few," Mercedes flashed a smile that looked both innocent and evil at the same time somehow.
"You look cute, Mommy!" Mazda's eyes sparkled.
"You know, Lexy-chan," Dyne gave her a long lookover as hearts practically appeared in his eyes, "I wouldn't mind paying for that one if you were to wear it later~"
"No! Not even for you, Dyne!"
"Fair enough. But I'm not forgetting this gorgeous image any time soon~"
"I'll knock it out of your head if I have to!"
"Come on, Lex," Mercedes tried to hold back her laughter, "You'll have to get used to wearing dresses sooner or later, no matter how much you claim to be allergic to them. What are you going to do if you ever get a nice office job?"
"I'm a bounty hunter! I don't need them and certainly don't want them!"
Fortunately for Alexus, her embarrassment didn't last much longer. After she was given leave by Mazda to get out of the dress and everyone retired back to the changing rooms, Sephira failed to continue to hide her grin of pure satisfaction at seeing Alexus like that.

"Dad?" she spoke up.

"Yes, Hon?"

"It may be just me, but I think justice has been served today. "
