Godzilla vs Gamera!Another legendary rivalry on par with that of Sonic/Mario and Goku/Superman and possibly the oldest being nearly 50 years old, while the other two are just 20 years old. The two greatest of Japanese Giant monsters finally come face to face in DEATH BATTLE!!!

I watched the video. I remember telling myself I'd be surprised if Godzilla lost. I doubted Gamera would win.

The main problem I have is how they designed Godzilla.

Yeah, he was pretty skeletal. Gamera looked decent.
Β I myself knew Godzilla was Going to win the momment they mentioned that Gamera was just 10,000 tons. Godzilla was literally 9x bigger.

Godzilla blows gamera up, the only things gamers can do are fly and and poop fire while he's flying.

So now that this has been confirmed as the next Death Battle. Here is who I think will win.
Godzilla.
The Reason: The only advantages Gamera has over Godzilla is flight and intelligence, but that shouldn't be a problem because Godzilla has fought foes that has flown as fast as Gamera and were more intelligent, other than that. Godzilla outclasses Gamera in everything else. Strength, durability you name it. Godzilla walks through military firepower like it is nothing, can you guess what has floored Gamera. Yep that's right, military firepower. Then there is Godzilla's regenerative abilities. Yes, Gamera has it too, but in order to regenerate he needs to go into a state of hibernation, he can't regenerate while fighting, what makes up for it though is his extreme pain tolerance, having been amputated, and impaled, yet still continues to fight like nothing happens. Unfortunity I don't think that'd be enough though. Gamera's only shot in winning is the Mana Blast, but that takes time to charge up and knowing Godzilla. He would not give Gamera the chance to charge.
Then if we don't ignore weight. Godzilla weighs 500 times the size Gamera does. For example.
Godzilla - 20,000-55,000 tons
Gamera - 80-120 tons
Overall the winner is Godzilla.

Godzilla has thicker skin and stronger breath. Gamera might have better melee and flight, and a shell but his over all skin is more prone to bleeding.

While Gamera can get airborne and become a bit more maneuverable, that's nothing compared to a radioactive reptile that practically decimates opposing monsters on a regular basis.

I've changed my opinion on this fight. I've been digging up more info on Gamera and have been watching the movie's. It's much closer than I though. Not sure who'd take this though.
