About Thunar: Did you just downloaded GTK for windows dependencies and configure/make/make clean install stuff?

Yeah. I only built it from source so I could get rid of the thumbnail border, it's in cygwinports and you don't need to do that.

It seems it needs a X Server running. Is this right?

No, it's a feature. When you set the title style of the menu to "parentrel" in bbStyleMaker, a "hidden" option in the item column on the left becomes selectable, and you can enable it.

Thanks. Thunar is nice, it's only a little slow which is pretty good considering I built it using cygwin. You can even associate files with Windows applications using bash scripts for path conversion (/usr/ -> C:\cygwin\usr, &c.)
