Description The debut appearance on dA of my oc for Carthage.

This is from book IV of the Aeneid, just after Aeneas has left. Queen Dido of Carthage has woken in a daze, but she becomes clearheaded enough to curse Aeneas and his descendants (the Romans) with the eternal enmity of Carthage. So I thought she might have spoken this directly to the personification of Carthage to make sure she understood. This translation of her words was done by A. S. Kline and you can find it here .
I've never actually read the Aeneid (yet) so I hope I got the general gist of it. It's thought that the "unknown avenger" referred to Hannibal (since this was written years after the Punic Wars).

Of course, this story is from a biased Roman perspective so we can't be sure if Carthage would have had such a memory. Besides, it was the Romans who started it.

This style is too labour intensive I don't like it why do I keep doing it. ;~; Dido's dress is all messed up too I'm afraid, she's supposed to be down on one knee but I really screwed up the fabric, haha.

Yep that's Grandpa Rome in the background.

And Carthage did not exist at the time the Trojan War occurred so why exactly did Rome and Carthage have a terrible relationship.
Maybe Etruria was having an affair with Carthage?
