Description Really, the process I use to draw faces changes a bit depending on what style I'm using and what character I'm drawing, but for the most part, I start out with the mass, and then I block in the shadows and sometimes the lights, and then add details from there. I guess that's kind of how most people do it, but LOOK AT THOSE BEAUTIFUL FOURTH AND FIFTH STAGES. |D yes, sarcasm Probably all of my characters go through those stages when I draw them and it is so nightmarish.

I was talking about massing with someone a while ago, so I decided to show the way I mass/block. It's different for everyone, I think, so mostly it's just for fun, since I myself like to see the different ways that people do it. ^^

Oh great! It's always nice to see someones painting process. Sometimes I try to use the same method, but I am not always happy about the outcome, because I tend to change the facial features way too much when I do so, haha.
Anyways, this looks very cool! :>

Oh, yeah that makes sense haha that happens to me too. This would not be as clean of a process if I was actually drawing an existing character, because it would take a longer time for me to really capture a certain character's features. xD Thank you! c:

That's super interesting! o.o I do the face first just because having the skull shape under the hair helps me, but tbh the skull shape changes so much by the end that I'm not sure how much it really helps. xD

Oh! haha, yeah that makes more sense. xD I was like, "Whoa.. I've never done that before. I don't think I could fit the face in after the hair." But anyway yeah, at times I do that too, draw the face without the hair, but including the chin/general shape, since the hair can really change the whole look sometimes.

I love your style. It's so cute and the lighting in your drawings is always so good. I like when you post things like this so that we can see your process. : D

Thank you, bee. xD And the lighting isn't that good! Gradient overlays help a lot, at least starting out.
