I enjoy painting drapery....I thought I would paint a couple like this for an upcoming show in Toronto in January 2008 at Loch Gallery.

you have such a wonderful tonal aesthetic to your painting, I enjoy it very much. It is very well considered, formally, and the composition is very engaging, with all of the creases and folds of the sheet drawing focal back to the figures face. I love it.

not only do you show the volume and folds well..you don't over do it...it still maintains a simplicity and abstractness that is really nice

This is what fabric studies are all about; brilliant use of shapes to build up the image. The gentle gradient of light blues to warm greys really pulls this together.

Very fine work (again) indeed! I seriouslt love the way you use brushes and colours. Expressionistic.
I think this one is a little over-detailed however. If the floor was smooth and blank then maybe it wouldn't look so crowded. Just maybe. But anyway, position this in between two less detailed works and it gets more balanced.

before i looked at the caption, while the picture was loading i thought to myself "she does like to paint sheets", and do so very well.
i really like the positioning of the model on the canvas, she seems suspended at the top with the sheets hanging down
