Description
This is a painting I did for painting class last semester. It's part of a set of 3, but I like how it turned out more than the others so I'm posting it up! The idea was: choose a painting from the renaissance, #1: paint as similar to it as possible, #2: paint it in an expressionist style, and #3: paint it in an abstract style.I forget who painted the original this is based from, but the abstract style I chose is a cubist style of George Braque... if I remember correctly.

I suppose there's a lot of Picasso influence as well. Braque and Picasso did sorta co-develop cubism, and I did a lot of research on Picasso around the same time.

Yep that's them, although Picasso copied allot of Braque's work

lol.. doing a presentation on Picasso is actually what started me off into Braque and cubism! I would still hate painting if it weren't for them...
