Part one of the drawing portion of my RISD application. I'm working my ass off on these, so cross your fingers for me. I pieced together the image from several reference photos, so no, I don't know who the kid is, but doesn't he have a great face?Related content

You know who this kid reminds me of? The boy in the painting Hands Resist Him... I forget the artist, but he has a similar expression. You should look at it, it's a creepy painting o_O!

Oh my god, creepy painting, I find it weird that I've never come across it before. You're right, he does look like that kid. I don't remember where I got the reference I used.

It all seems so dirty and rusted...The highlights on the hair make it look fantastically realistic, like I can reach out and touch it. The way his eyebrows are furrowed, the lines below his nose, the dark shades about his eyes, the way his face is so wide, it all makes him look so much older and more sorrowful. You did a really nice job on this one Sarah, a really nice job.
