Many fans would argue that Zoro would beat Erza in a Death-Battle, because he can "cut through anything". While he indeed is a powerful swordsman with his three-swords styles technique, but so is Erza. Erza was cutting steel with just the air pressure emitted from her blades BEFORE Zoro was able to cut solid steel. Even if Zoro could land a hit, he would have to get past Erza's Adamantine armor. While arguing that Zoro could've dealt with this with minor ease, remember that Erza tanked a blast that would have wiped out the entire city of Magnolia. Erza commonly finds a fighting style that works for her, and sticks to it. Erza is very clearly DIFFERENT from those opponents, and would more-than-likely not push Zoro to such a limit. In the end, Erza has more haxier abilities, environmental control, versatility, cunning wits, and just as much experience as Zoro. With her master swordsmanship, hand-to-hand combat, enhanced strength, immense reflexes, vast magic power, and her immense durability n' endurance that kept her going to overwhelm Zoro in the progress to let down his guard for second to win this fight. Looks like the world greatest swordsman got beaten by the "Queen of the Fairies - Erza Scarlet."
