folves are beauteous but i never find a good actual animal to study anatomy from. u mind if i just take some guidelines from this, because i dont meet many people who draw them as animalistic as i do.?

Wonderful work Hib. I love the eyes, and the build. If there's anything I go "meh" at, it would be the loincloth, but that might have been the exact pose requested for all I know. Still, excellent work, and JPA seemed quite pleased (and how would he not?) so I think all aims were achieved.

Oh, I'm in love. He's so shmexy. Just his strong dameaner (oye my spelling sucks) and that coy look would melt any furress' heart lol. Let's not forget to mention how that bow is so purdy.

Rather like the design, and the execution. Except for the eye it seems mostly foxish. And love that bow. Can't quite figure out the manly bits tho... a sheath (low slung) perhaps, but where are "the boys"?

Ummm... Did you think maybe it's not supposed to be dirty? I rather dislike comments like this one on great works of art.

What I meant was not all anthro art has to have private parts.

ScottyDM In reply to Sarakazi [2008-08-01 07:21:08 +0000 UTC]
Why do you assume I think the picture is "dirty"? It is a straight forward question about two things:
1) The design of the loin cloth. If you've ever tried to wear one you'd realize the simplest design that also affords a bit of modesty is a single strip about 3 feet long held up by the belt--not two patches sewn to the belt with nothing between.
2) The design of the character. The male of both wolves and foxes have a sheath length and position that would make wearing a belt that low distinctly uncomfortable--unless Hibbary moved things around when she anthropomorphized the character.
Should I have written a "fluff" comment?

When not showing private parts I prefer the use of body position, a prop, or even clothing. Some bits are small enough to be hidden by fur, but manly bits are not of that type unless the subject is a musk ox (or something equally fuzzy). I'm not fond of the blurring method. Seems like a cop-out.

It looks like you chopped off a fox's head and stuck it on a furry Arnold Schwarzenegger, but the shading on the fur looks very nice.
