Description
I went along with my brother to see one of his friends off (he's moving to Seattle) and while they played D&D, I worked and managed to finish one of my commissions from MFF forI got it finished surprisingly fast, and was invested in the project. Maybe I'm getting better. I hope so.

I actually had a similar idea for a creature of ice. It was called an Uncian- a humanoid snow leopard with har and human face. males have bat wings and females have birc wings. This piece of art is simply extraordinary! Truly an amazing snow leopard!

watercolors and.. markers? Absolutely stunningly beautiful. I wish I could accomplish something this detailed in markers and mixed media. You really did the icy bue light so well, was that just a basic wash and the rest of the feeling comes from the blue shadow on the leopard? I'm trying to figure out hwo you did it- was it intentional the way you set it up so the light came out all blown out behind him, which is so fitting for the tundra you've described.. or were you just being minimalistic in the backgrounds definition? I love it regardless, and I want to learn from your methods and thought processes!

Nome, no markers. It's watercolor, color pencil, and a little white acrylic ink.
I was doing both with the background. The commissioner hadn't paid for an extensive one, and so I didn't want to spend too much time on it (which translates into too many layers) but I wanted it to look good. I know that snow and light leaves cloudy, washed-out looking forms, and so I could use the technique quickly and effectively and it would also look good.
