This is one of the last items that went into my portfolio, which I just submitted!!!! YAAYYYY!!! ITS OVARRRR!!!! *pantpantpant* definately calls for alchohol (don't worry, I'm almost 22)I LOOOOOVE Padme's outfits, and this is one of my favorites. I'm pretty sure it's my hubby's too, since he's occaisionally thoroughly encouraged my musings about trying to make it for myself. (one of our favorite scenes too) I've always loved this char, I weirdly relate Padme and Anakin's relationship to me and my hubby's although the personality traits are differently distributed (ie I'm far more likely to go freaking nuts than him).
This is sort of the brainchild of this: [link] and maybe some day I'll add in smiley Anakin, but I'm happy with it for now.
Done in Corel Paiter Essentials 4, start to finish.
Padme belongs to George Lucas.... for now.
EDIT
So, unbeknownst to me, the photographer who took the photo I used is here on dA. The site I got the photo made no mention of who took it and I was lead to believe it was a public release photo done by someone employed by Lucasfilm Inc. Thankfully the artist contacted me!

Stunning work! There is a fluidity to it that is beautiful, and I like how her dress matches the dawn sky ahead of her. Great job with the lighting, as well.
The only aspect that I feel detracts from the piece is the dark spot near the hem of her dress. I get the impression it is supposed to be shadow, but, at least to me, it comes across more as if the hem is a bit muddy. Other than that, fantastic work!

It is a shadow, one which is peculiar to sheer fabrics.It happens when the fabric is edge-on to the light source. I used an image from the fashion show of her dresses as a reference.
