Some do, some use them for a weekend retreat and some are just hobby boats. Quite a number here are live aboards.

Yeah, I'm fine, thanks. The holidays always whip me. I had lots of uhoh need to be social type gifts to make, still in retail which is it own level of hell, then got my butt kicked by two viruses. So it's been a less then productive season! Not sure how back in I am. Jewelry isn't selling and metals keep going up. (And dollar going down down down. I'm telling you, you need to vacation here...) So hopefully I'll get a good wind on sewing!

The American economy does seem to be in free-fall at the moment. I would come across but the rules for getting in now far too intrusive. They seem to think that anyone including little grannies are out to plant bombs under babies or something and any kind of privacy is a complete no no with the various secret organisations that now run the country rather than the government so until they actually turn back into humans again I'm staying out of it.
Bummer about the viruses, I'm guessing bad cold type stuff yeah?
I know what you mean about retail and I sure as hell don't miss it.

I guess I wasn't aware of how bad the rules were for flying in. I just knew they were a pain for getting out. (The worst part was the other people seeing that I had holey socks...) And yeah, one stomach virus that ended in a quick er trip and one bad headcold. Blah.

...This is absolutly stunning. I'd love to take a nice walk down this trail when the suns about down and the fog is setting in...somehow. It have a good creepy element to it then, especially if all those boats were gone.
