Thank you and apologies for the horrendously late reply, I've been on a break I think is the best way of describing it.

It'sss.... Myst! (yes, the video game{s}) Sorry, I am *not* being flippant, just couldn't help it. I do truly very much like this shot, and am not one to hinge on first impressions, just occasionally some are hard to shake. Seriously, a very nice shot.

I support you trying to take pictures properly again
I like this shot could be on a calender.

Guess what I am getting a new (almost professional) camera soon (an EOS 20D) there this summer might be full of new pictures.

take care

The EOS is a cool camera and has a great comfortable body. You should have some fine results.

Thanks ever so much.

Keep up the photography! Even if you are extremely busy!

You were doing it improperly before?

We have reservoirs here too: we call them "lakes".

Seriously; striking use B&W that depicts the contrasting textures very well. Seems like a rough edge around the structure??

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

horai In reply to Kaleidopsyche [2008-06-15 23:02:54 +0000 UTC]

just bringing a photo down from 4820 pixels to 1000 tends to make straight lines a little jaggedy sadly even in Photoshop.

I love old stone built things like that. They could be medival or anything. Like derwent dam. They would never build anything so beautiful now.

horai In reply to Heresiarch81 [2008-06-21 18:40:14 +0000 UTC]

That's so true and I wish it wasn't. We seem to have forgotten how to blend with nature and the word elegance has disappeared almost completely.
