Also aren't brains supposed to be a delicacy? They actually used to be used in hamburger patties because the flavour in beef comes from fat and the cheapest fattiest tissue available was cow brain. Then people learned this put people at risk of having their brain get filled with holes.

I would try it... shellfish stew sounds like it could be yummy, brains or no. They're just another organ, so if you can eat tendon, tripe, or other flesh, why would brain be bad, especially when shellfish are like eating bugs. I mean, with clams you eat the whole creature anyway :/
