now how in the world can anyone criticize this?! this song can be expressed in so many different ways, depicted from what roams within the lobes of the illustrator..

what i like about this is your ability to capture such expression without having to be super duper realistic and remaining in your own style of expressionism... and the surrealistic aspect is phenominal! once again, a hand!

Yeah, that's a nice abstract concept. In a way it could be seen like the scenes from the Matrix (just replace the gaint heads with robots). The sketch does suit the song though. Everything is going down the drain, but some still see the light of hope (the person sitting up above the rest in the foreground).
The only things I can see wrong (in my opinion) is the clouds above the giant heads. They just seem out of place to me, a little too cartoony for the pic. I don't know if you meant to but it that way. However the rest of the sketch is nice, good use of shading.

I was just listening to Kid A earlier today, I love singing along to that song. When I listen to Optimistic, I think of a very dark scene, with just one source of light in the center. And I think of how the tom drum in the song has a very strange sound...so there must be a drum involved in my vision. Hmm...I should make some representative art I think
