When the sun dreams...--

Back in business, more or less.
Venting out some frustration through splashing them swooshy colors and trying to harmonize everything together. After a couple of messy canvases, ended up with an inspiration.
First actual pony work in well over eight months.. I've been painting some stuff in the meantime, as well as studied theory but gotta say I'm a bit out of touch in terms of my "old" style... So I decided to go for something new.

Is there a particular name for this sort of art style, with really bright contrasting colors? This is literally my favorite kind of art ever and I don't know what it's called... I know Crayon-chewer's deviantArt does a REALLY good job of what I'm talking about.Β

I especially love how painted it feels, the background specifically. The color choices are really wonderful though, I like how you were able to mix in yellow along with her regular palette without it being overpowering.
