Aaand season 5 ends. I for one welcome the hiatus so I can completely catch up with the episodes (still having a couple of episodes unwatched) among other hurries.
Exciting throwbacks to "what could've been" with all the villains. Funny how each one had way larger plans for the future, while Tirek was still just waging his war on trees... And each timeline was supposed to be the "present", which means Tirek has just been punching the ground for what... one year?
Nevertheless, a fine finale. First one to not completely blow me off my feet though.

Amazing.
I do have 1 criticism which is that the Sombra timeline is just 3 smokestacks, and I feel that's not a good representation of that timeline at all; it should've been something like the actual war or Sombra's soldiers, maybe with Sombra seen leading them; those (something showing the war, the thing that timeline is actually aboutabout) would've been a much better choice. Honestly, that feels like it could be a depiction of the Flim Flam timeline. It would be like if for the Nightmare Moon timeline, you'd just shown trees in the Everfree Forest.

I share your opinion on the lower epicness of the finale. But for me it made up for it with all the alternate timelines. ven more so as I am crazy about armored ponies. Suddenly the's so much more variety in the show.
