Description Gigaramus is a big (17 cm) stick insect which lives in or near the various lava tubes of Pyrungata.
They feed ferns and mosses.
Intersting for this species is the sexual dimorphism. The genders have the same size, but the females have feeler with are twice as long as those of the males (this specimen is a male). With this organs they find the right places to lay their eggs on dry ground in darker corners of caves.
