I think they're creative in their own way, but... I don't think it's what Lauren Faust intended... Then again she intend for the appeal of the show to go mostly to men XD

She actually said that she designed it to appeal to parents, for she knew that parents would be watching it with their kids, and she wanted them entertained as well. (Which is why you end up with Star Wars/Star Trek references, alchohol references, a salute to the western genre, an engineered Dr. Who character, and a number of other things including a reference to Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness", a deeply disturbing and dark novela that you may be familiar with, and which NO young girl in the target audience could possibly understand.)

So it seems only natural that men would take a liking to it, 50% of parents being men and all.

And it's so much like the good old cartoons, like Dexter's Lab, Foster's Home for Imaginary friends, and such. Heh, go figure she worked on many of them.

Men ages 15-35 Ben it mostly appeals to.

I LOVE FOSTER'S HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS!!! I even got a jacket with all the characters on it doing everything and what not, including CHEESE.

It's a great book, you should check it out. Like I said, no little girl would EVER get the reference, so it's quite safe.

If you think about it, those statistics may be rather skewed. It's based on the Youtube views, and a survey that was posted through Equestria Daily. Both of those places are populated almost exclusively by people at least 15 years old, usually college age, and frequently male. Neither one of those places would have many, if any, of the target audience (Young girls and or parents) so it would be only natural that those statistics would reflect incorrect numbers.

Regardless though, it's likely that teens and adults make up a large portion of the viewers

XD I watched that video fifty times at least Ben! I thought about sending it to you once myself XD.

I'm not so sure, my little sister that's eleven is particularly less naive then I was and so are my other siblings, who knows what things are put in their heads. My little brother whom is in second grade about to be...eight asked me the other day if I was having sex with the wall. He got an ass whoopin' from me and my mother for that one.

I beg your pardon, I was on youtube at ten! Met my first internet friends there, but I don't ever talk to them anymore. makes me sad . Still, they did have the choice to watch it and adults which are most likely parents could be showing it to them.

Genius in creating cartoons, is nothing to what you have of random things and what not.

Doing Halloween? Tomorrow is the day before Halloween Ben, and you're doing that thing again where you unintentionally avoid Skype. We could always talk on Halloween, I'm alone then for a good few hours since I'm not going trick or treating.

But if it's possible, tomorrow at 5 my time, six yours.
