Description W00t! Finally finished folding Satoshi Kamiya's ancient dragon.

The Ancient Dragon is a ridiculously complex 274 step model created by Satoshi Kamiya. The diagrams for this model can be found in Works of Satoshi Kamiya, 1995-2003.

This is the first time I finished the model, stemming from two failed attempts. Being that this is my first completed Ancient Dragon, it really looks sloppy to me. But I'm just happy that I finished the model! I do plan on folding this model again, despite it being the most complicated model I know of. I'd especially like to use some better paper. The only paper I had big enough was WRAPPING PAPER.

It took me about 7 hours to fold the Ancient Dragon, with a single 30x30 in. (75x75 cm.) sheet. It stands at about 5 inches tall, with a wingspan of 1.5 feet.

Excellent job! If you are looking or a better paper, you can try making tissue-foil, or even better, Double-tissue! Both are superb to fold with, although double tissue is thinner. There are tutorials done by Sara Adams on her site "Happy Folding."

Thanks!

Those links you supplied will certainly come in handy, thank you! I already have my hands on some nice kraft paper (75 cm), but I'll certainly try with double tissue too.

No problem. If you have any trouble making either of those, feel free to message me. Also, the girl who makes them will usually answer questions too.
