There's so many traditional cat artworks on Deviantart, I love them all but really don't bother to view them. This piece has something unusual about it though; and I think it's the fur texture; somehow, with your techniques, you've managed to just about represent every hair on that cat's body! (or head, seeing as this is a portrait from the shoulders up). Many other cat artworks blend the fur together, only showing the colour, and not the texture.
Similarly, you've drawn in more than just the usual muzzle whiskers; here, it is very clear you've included many other normal whiskers on the side of the face and eyes. Often these are left out. The whiskers also help lead our eyes to the center of the cat's face, where the eyes and nose can be admired.
I find it hard to think of anything that could be improved, besides perhaps the background; the shaded edges form a slightly lopsided shape, which feels a bit distracting, but since the eyes are focused mainly of the face thanks to the whiskers it isn't really obvious.
Lovely artwork, I'm sure your cat will be ever grateful for this kind of attention.

A lovely drawing. The nose, reflection in the eyes, and white whiskers are very well done. What would really make this pop, however, is a little more contrast. Ello-is-broken already mentioned the creases of the eyes, where the tone is a little flat. Making that area darker would really make the eyes stand out, I think. Also, playing around with the negative space would make the image overall look even more interesting.

This is a fantastic drawing, I could not draw animals to save my life
My favorite part in this is the fur it looks very life like with all the shifts in low to high value points... also it looks very fluffy because you did not use a harsh mark 
but a little thing that sticks out to me are the eyes, they are so close to looking perfect but the shadows in the crease of the eye and the eye lids themself are the same tonal value and it is flatening the eyes one of them has to be a bit darker or a little lighter (but that is me being very anal 
Another clever touch is the use of white strokes for the whiskers and wispy fur (I freaking love it when people draw in white
