This was a request, I just can't remember from who...but a lot of you probably wanted this right?
The story behind this is both Holly and Artemis snuck out of work to give their child, Diana (Ana), a bath. Holly won, but Artemis doesn't seem to mind much. XD
Artemis: If you're sneaking out of work, why did you leave your helmet mike on.
Foaly: ~Because I loooove to listen to you lovebirds smoochin'.~ >.>

Foaly: "They're not going to go for it without some kind of proof of good will at the very least."
Artemis: "What about reactivating ITER?Β The international thermonuclear experimental reactor?"
Foaly: "That rustbucket?Β Don't make me laugh..."
Artemis: "Foaly, the energetic yield would put any powerplant in the lower elements to shame."
Foaly: "I KNOW, I KNOW!!!Β Look, I'm having a hard enough time thinking there's one human as smart as I am.Β And if you keep sledgehammering my ego it'll be harder to put it on the shelf!"
Twilight Sparkle: "Hi Foaly!"
Foaly: "D'arvit!"
Artemis: "Oh yeah, and we'd been using the cloning technology to help bring back previously extinct species.Β TUrns out in the later generations they established full minds and sentience.Β Turns out there's some transuniversal effects..."
Foaly: "If you don't mind, I'm going to get very, very drunk..."
Mulch: "First round's on me!"

I never really liked Artemis/Holly. Mostly because she would quickly outlive him and I just didn't see them getting together

I do not know what you are referring to as weird, but IΒ am not susceptibleΒ to feeble emotions such as lust or romance. Such things are foolish in my eyes. I do not like it when people make two characters from a story have feelings for each other that are non-existant. Β

Oh, man, I didn't mean it like that.Β Β I'm just referring to the sort of feeling of slight amusement I get when someone says that two people are just friends when I see them as a couple. I personally see it as quite the "I won't say I'm in love" situation, but I understand if you don't. After all, everyone has different interpretations of the material, eh?

If it is anything like Tolkein's (the first and most successful example) I suspect the baby would have more human traits that elfish: Shorter lifespan compared to elves, taller, and with little to no magical ability (Opal a pixie-human hybrid lost her magic).
But who needs magic when he/she has brains of Artemis Fowl himself?

Well, Both Elrond and Elros were technically Half-ELven (Their parents were the actual Half-Elves*), that is until the end of the First Era when the Half-Elves were given a choice: Become Firstborn or become Mortal. Elros became human and Elrond became an Elf (along with their parents).
Β So... Nah, Elrond you see in the LotR is indeed as elf as those born elves.
*: Not sure about the mother though....
