That would be the sniper, honestly. She's got a good heart in her somewhere. Seeing it though... That's the real trick.

Ā  I believe you.Ā  But I wonder if she like plain guy'sĀ  Like mechanics or Blackjack dealers?Ā  That will be a heck of a adventure.Ā  A BJ dealer/mechanic and her fighting for their lives in a derelict ship.Ā  Smells like a tv series.

Well...

Uh...

She has a certain aversion to people, in general. She doesn't trust easily and trying to discuss things like what kind of guy she likes...

Well... You might have better luck getting a shark to give you a handshake.

Ok, I keep looking at this and wondering if William's pose is part of the Hawkeye Initiative. Not that it bothers me, but I am curious.

Excerpt from the Journal of Zan Holindai, Nix Lord Magus:

"Bonds.

We all possess the capacity to form bonds. These bonds can take many different shapes, forms and meanings. Our memories form mental bonds. Our bodies can share physical bonds. The heart can create emotional bonds. Even bonds of essence are possible...

However, just as with shackles, rope and chains these bonds can be shattered, broken... Severed. So many times, that is the tragic tale hidden behind the cold, stoic nature of The Lord Magi. A story of broken bonds. As our bond with magic strengthens, so too do our bonds with others wither away and die. We forget those around us... Fail to feel, to empathize, with them. We remove ourselves from those around us, so far gone are we in our oneness with magic...

Yet, as I write this, it is not a tale of my own progressing change... But, instead, as a reminder to myself - bonds are important. It's what makes these Terrans human. I have formed bonds with this crew, and continue to discover a growing sense of kinship with them. They have become my brothers and sisters and when I consider these bonds, I want to nurture them and hold on to them... With a firm grasp.

Bonds of the heart. Something The Lord Magi lose sight of. Even after these Terrans are old, withered husks in the ground and I have continued on... Those bonds of the heart and mind will still exist. I have learned, watching them, fighting with them, alongside them, interacting with them... Our bonds keep us alive. Not just for survival but living. We experience living through our bonds, vicariously. They all have their flaws... But, in the end, that is what makes them human. That is what makes them special.

I am going to keep this picture for many centuries... For millennia..."

There's a healthy dose of realism to a mostly optimistic journal excerpt.

Nice. I see the different color of light you used and the white ambient light. That gives me a few Ideas. Thank you.

There are five lights in use. Three are obvious (the white spot down on the table, the orange linear point off to the side, and the purple point light in the mage's hand, but two, the bluish grey ambient and the blue spotlight coming from the side, are probably not as obvious.
