This last year and a half has been a reall struggle. But for the first time in months I have been able to complete a suncathcer . And it is kind of fitting that it turned out to be a Phoenix. The Phoenix is a mythical bird that rises from it's own ashes. I like to dedicate this piece to all the people who are faced with a battle against cancer. Not only those who survive but also those who has lost their battle, like one of my parents did only a couple of months ago . The courage, strenght and bravery to rise again after each treatment, just to face it again and again, is the bravest thing I have encountert.
I handmade this mythical bird completely out of 100% real copper and I used only the best materials like Czech glass beads, crystal glass, Swarovski krystal en the body of the Phoenix is a large red Agate.

This is beautiful, the way the tail feathers are so long and swirling is very elegant, and the reds go really well with the copper wire. It's a wonderful piece to dedicate to those people, I've only had a few in my life, but you're right about their courage and strength.

In my cause it is part of the skull pushed in causing pressure on the brain, eyes and left ear... injured - attack on the street... there is not much chanse to set it back good in the place, every little push press it again closer to brain, can't ley on that side 5 years alredy...
Just yesterday got fonecall from revalidation center, for first appointment in october, that is quite soon like for this place, normaly waiting list is for up to half year...but I don't know if they can help anything...
