Well, probably more like a half-elf. This is one Layer from an ongoing WIP drawing that I'm FINALLY putting some time into, because I want to bump the ol' portfolio a bit. The tones may likely stay, the red will likely go, but it's fun to see how a small section of a larger illustration can stand on its own.There's a plain greyscal version of this in my Scraps, and the original sketch to the final drawing is in there somewhere as well.
Drawn entirely in Manga Studio EX with a 9x12 Intuos, in about 3 hours. Done mostly with the G-Pen set to about 5mm, tapers off, correction 3.

Did anyone notice what a complete crackjob I made of her upper arm? I'm downright ashamed of myself that I didn't notice until now, and it's eating into my brain. Of course I'm fixing it, but holy crap... how did I miss it for so long?

i dont really notice the difference in the arms, i guess one might look a little small but size as affeted by angle and distance right?

It's not the arm compared to the other arm, it's the arm itself... the upper part is too long by about 20%, I think. The space between the actual shoulder joint and the armlet's crenellated cloth (I'm sure that's not the right term for that) probably shouldn't exist. The difficulty is in moving the whole arm, the knife, everything has to shift about a half-inch to the right. Not an impossible touch-up job, but enough of a pain in the ass that I've neglected to deal with it, even a year after I realized I messed up.
I really should take care of it.

Crackjob of the upper arm? Well I thought it was pretty good! I'm looking to get a graphics tablet to use with touching up photos - got any tips for what features to look out for etc? Thanks

Stick with the WACOM brand... it's the best. Don't buy anything with a battery-operated pen... I'm almost certain they're all off the market now, but for a while they were the stupidest ripoff I'd ever seen.
The WACOM tablets are industry standard... they're not cheap, but you can get a small one for about $99, and for touchup work and practice it's a good starter tablet.

They might have adjusted the prices for UK buyers directly from the WACOM site, but I don't actually know for sure... if not, then that's a damn good deal. Even if they have done, the way the dollar sucks against the pound it might still be cheaper to buy one through a US company and ship it overseas.

I've checked out the low end WACOM priced tablets, basically the new bamboo is £73 near enough, and graphite4 (I think) is more like £50, but seems a little dated and yeah.. So perhaps the prices have been fiddled with! I would consider import, though when you add on import tax and English VAT at 17.5% it all starts to bump up - and if I want my sister to buy me it the process can't be that complicated! heh..
