So here comes a critique. First off two problems: Way too high on the contrast, and if you do use this contrast the color is way over saturated. The shallow focus is nice, but the fact that the only thing in focus is dead center is a bit off-putting. The photo has a lack of balance with the left having too much going on for the right to balance. Te top is also awkward with the bright background. This pulls the eye away from the focus of the image. I think the balance would have worked out a lot better if more of the image were in focus (more depth of field). Also if you had a way to get less of that bright background or darken it up so the bright part of the image is what is viewed.
