The shot was taken near my home town in the harz mountains in early spring. Ok, I know where this road will bring you, but you can let your ideas float freely and imagine where it may take you.I don't know why, but I think it came out slightly surreal. Maybe it's because of the colors, maybe it's because the industrial plant you can spot through the trees is a bit out of place there.

I really like this, it makes me feel emptied and it doesn't sit well with me, it's like a surreal reminder of a life I don't want.

"surreal" trifft's recht gut.. ich weiΓ nicht, ich finde das liegt auch daran, dass so schΓΆne groΓe bΓ€ume, die man eigentlich mitten im wald erwarten wΓΌrde, so einsam neben der straΓe stehen..
aber es sieht auf jeden fall interessant aus!

Nice image. The clouds help out the balance between the trees. The big issue I see is that there seems to be a pink cast in the clouds, which is an issue.

beautiful! personally I like the contrast between the browns and yellows of the earth and the blue of the sky. and those two giants in the middle are gorgeous! hum... I just don't like that factory upthere it loses a bit of it's magic. it is such a pitty=/ anyway... awesome photo!

A good choice of subject and story. Your composition is a bit distracting, with the road in the middle and two differently sized tree in the photo.
For the future my only suggestion would be to keep the rule of thirds in mind,.

I like this, whole road/path to nowhere or somewhere, I did a painting with this conept.
And the ground and sky have a nice contrast.

It's some kind of factory, to be exact it's a lime kiln to produce quicklime.

Auf meiner Karte steht neben diesem Feld- und Wanderweg 'alte Heerstrasse'. Vor Jahrhunderten war das wohl ein TeilstΓΌck einer relativ wichtigen Strasse die den Harz in Ost-West Richtung durchquert.
Du kannst ja versuchen dir vorzustellen wie da eine mittelalterliches Heer mit Rittern und allem was dazugehΓΆrt da lang trottet.
