I tried to catch the clichΓ© many people here in Germany have in mind if they think of the region where I live. The Harz mountains. Small houses in the middle of a forest under the famous Brocken Mountain and a cloudy sky.It was not this easy to catch all this aligned in a single picture.
The shot was taken on a wonderful autumn day.

You caught the clichΓ© pretty well but I think the rule of thirds would fit nicely. You could also increase contrast and luminosity in order to make it more attractive (although the colors are already wonderful).
