I have been rummaging through some of my old Art Scene International magazines and came across I pretty good tutorial By Marc Simonetti. It’s all done in Photoshop CS and is quite complicated but I decided to give it a shoot. I was mainly interested in how he coloured his artworks. He tutorial can be found In the December 2005 Art Scene International magazine Page 56 “A flying Saucer”.I was mainly concerned about the depth of the colours in this image and only did a minute amount of inking. Shows how slack I am but this was a quick sketch. The whole concept was totally improvised so I don’t have much to say about it.

Very nice man, very nice. I love that gritty look, the design is awesome, nice posing and anatomy, simply beautiful, I can imagine this being a cover for something.

I think maybe for an anime or anthro comic. Was a bitch to colour in though but I think it came out pretty good. Thanks man.

Actually, I did a Google search on the guy you mentioned on the Dutch magazine and while I was not able to find a page on the tutorial you referred to here, I was able to find the artist's website and he does mostly game artwork. And BTW he's that guy who won the Diablo fan-art contest, so congrats to him on that part, but...
The main thing is that I like this pic, though I don't have that kind of creativity to critique this deviation whatsoever, it's just falls in nicely because of the lighting and character design, but that's all I can think about now...

He is very good artist but I don’t do as much research as you though. Might need to look into this a little bit more.
You can critique it in anyway man. You can say what you like or dislike about the artwork or theoretically analyse the concept. In this artwork the whole concept was improvised so can say what think it represents to you.

I try to make very colour standout but I must say it’s quite difficult to make the right chose. It’s kind of like throwing it into the blender and seeing if it works.
