It's not quite as gross as actual traditional Norwegian food.

Well for lunch I had two slaughterfish eggs, 5 deathbells, 6 yellow mountain flowers, and a human heart. Iβd say that was a pretty fulfilling meal.

Here are some useful potions that are made with ingredients that are fairly easy to obtain, especially if you have Hearthfire and can grow your own plants.
Restore Health + Fortify Health: Blue Mtn Flower + Wheat
Fortify Smithing: Blisterwort + Glowing Mushroom
Fortify Enchanting: Blue Butterfly Wing + Snowberries
Fortify Carry Weight: Creep Cluster, River Betty, Scaly Pholiota
Resist Fire: Dragon's Tongue + Fly Amanita
Resist Frost: Purple Mtn Flower + Silverside Perch
Resist Shock: Blue Dartwing + Swamp Fungal Pod
Resist Magic: Lavender + Tundra Cotton
Slow: Deathbell + Salt Pile
Damage Magicka + Damage Magicka Regen: Butterfly Wing + Hanging Moss + Nightshade
Lingering Damage Magicka: Purple Mtn Flower + Swamp Fungal Pod
Damage Health + Lingering Damage Health: Deathbell + Imp Stool + Mora Tapinella
Instead of making potions of Cure Disease, just eat a piece of Mudcrab Chitin. Β That should cure the disease; you only use up a single, easy to obtain ingredient; and a piece of Mudcrab Chitin weighs less than a potion of Cure Disease. Β Or you can use any shrine for one of the nine Divines.
The easiest way to find out what the ingredients do is to look it up on the Internet. Β Another option is to save your game, mix a lot of potions, make notes on what you learned, and then reload. Β You can also save right before buying alchemy recipes, read the recipe, make notes, and then reload.

This is why I do legendary on Alchemy. First time around, I get the perks that teach me everything the stuff can do, eat one of everything, then reset and grind back up making health, stamina, and magica potions again. I have a huge stockpile of potions, for use and sale, and plenty of ingredients that I actually know how to use when I get back up, along with having all the other, far more useful perks so the new potions are even better.Β

actually, i never found out what the fastest way to level that skill was. im level 50 now and make health/invisibility potions rather often yet im still level 50 alchemy and im too busy buying other skill points from trainers.

LOL! Β I rarely make potions because...well just because. Β I gather ingredients like crazy and eat them to get my alchemy score up though. Β I remember in the Mournhold expansion for Morrowind how bizarre it was for my character to sit there and eat half a dozen 50lb hunks of adamant out at a time. Β I mean how do you even chew an I breakable metal? Β It did make eating those 2lb portions of glass and 10lb portions of ebony seem more reasonable. Β I can only imagine the intestinal discomfort my character must chronically suffer from.
Now I am playing Oblivion, and I am incredibly frustrated that I can't eat animal pelts to open up inventory space. Β I despise the weight limits because by the time I have my armor and weapon load out I am pretty much already overloaded,

In which Wildra`s would probably be somewhere in the bottom line, as she`s a Bosmer that loves eating Daedra hearts.

Thus they probably would cook the ingredient before consuming. If they already cannibalize the dead in their own homeland, I would expect nothing less than that x3

Exactly, they cook them first, and Bosmers have better hygiene the giants do
