Description This is the first drawing that I made in where I attempted to sharpen the image and remove the coloring using Paint.net. I feel like it came out fairly well, though I don't really have anything fancy to make a digital image from.

In my story, I have the party travel through the Toadwood Forest on three separate occasions: On their way to the Yoshi's Island Annual Fruit Festival, on their way back from the Festival, and when they need to go to the Vim Factory's research division in an attempt to make a Dream Portal using Shroob technology so that the real Luigi could entre the Dream World (as my story features a friendly Shroob, the only one of his kind). It is during this third passthrough that this scene takes place. As the Shroob thinks that all the trees have been deactivated for decades since the events in Partners in Time, they all travel through, only for Toadette to get entrapped by this one tree that was apparently still active. In desperation, the benevolent Shroob tells the group that firing at it with his blaster would cause its tentacles to recoil and release anything it's holding, but he finds that his blaster is out of power. So Mario, Luigi, and the Shroob all go down to a big charging station in the Vim Factory's basement to recharge it and free Toadette. As a basis for why this one tree was reinstated, I decided that it would be a concealed Kamek that reactivated it using his magic - just to cause a little mischief. Lethal mischief, I might add.

I had to do some experimentation on how I could get Toadette to portray the best look of terror and utter distress and desperation. There isn't really any official artwork that does. As a basis, I went and looked at Toadiko's sprites from Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, in where she also gets caught in the Toadwood Forest trees (www.spriters-resource.com/ds_dā€¦ ). I also figured that, if these trees can catch Toads that get near them, they should have many, many tentacles saturating its trunk for such a purpose. This is not shown on the map, but it must be true. This scene, with Toadette being trapped in the Toadwood Forest trees, actually has a heart-warming ending . . . read my story to find out what it is!

Oh okay ! Well, I'll be waiting for those pictures then take your time ! I myself aren't really good at drawing so I can't help you, but I hope you'll be able to get better at it soon ! I began reading your story btw, it's really nice and I find the sapian creatures quite intriguing ! I'm a bit surprised that a non-evil shroob actually exists, but afterall not much is known about them, so I guess it could be possible ^^

I figured someone would ask. I haven't posted it yet on DeviantArt. I tried to finalize my storybook version last night, though - it's 170 pages! I had wanted to post a version that had some of my sketches in it. My sister said that she would share her Photoshop code with me to help me make digital art out of those sketches.
