Description

GEA (Greater Earth Alliance) Branwen was inspired by the many Federation starship designs from Star Trek and in particular the clean simple and elegant design philosophy of Matt Jefferies.

Branwen is not part of the Star Trek universe but was built in homage to Star Trek which gave the world a positive and exciting vision of the future way back in the 20th century. Commissioned in 2413. Length 1.5km. Branwen is an intergalactic and inter dimensional exploration and ET contact vessel.

You can definitely see the Star Trek influence, here. It's probably quite repetitive having to explain it's not a Federation vessel.

Thanks, I am certain we will travel to the stars and the fiction of Star Trek will influence our future reality.

I believe it already has. I know flip phones are going out of style, but where do you think they got their design inspiration from?

I like the design. It's organic looking, and elegant; using nature as an example for what works is always a good start. Nature doesn't waste energy, and neither do good designs.

As a Star Trek fan I appreciate your choice of going with Matt Jeffries. His designs were always based on practicality, workability, and safety.
