Why do you choose to have the Goddesses' eyes closed? That's an interesting way to do it--I would think Goddesses would have ever-open, all-seeing eyes. Also, the Goddess spiral motif you repeat on them all is very soothing and powerful. Even if I wasn't told this was a Goddess, the spiral and the body would prove it. Thus a superb use of "shorthand imagery"--beautiful besides.

awesome, thanks for telling me. I agree completely. I've been experimenting a bit with a similar theme; the enucleated, the blinded eye. Firstly the imagery appeals to me on many levels, aesthetic and personal. Obviously one of my greatest fears is to be blinded. Secondly, to take that blinded face and make it seem still alert, still perfectly aware, missing nothing and perhaps sensing much more without eyes, it really intrigues me. Several of my drawings and prints have been exploring the theme somewhat. Eyes are so fascinating, spiritually!
