Description I find it amusing when creationists scream about how evolution is a threat to Christianity, when they're the ones damaging their religion's credibility by advocating a view of the world that blatantly contradicts nearly all scientific knowledge.

Creationism, at least REAL creationism is not just based on the Bible, but also fact. For example evolution as it is stated in the THEORY is wrong. It has been dissproven mathematically. The chances of life having evolved as stated by evolution are 1 in 20^217 against. That is to say that even if the entire galaxy was nothing but the supposed conditions to create life, it would never happen. But on the other side the Earth is OBVIOUSLY a LOT older than 6000 years and to say otherwise is just ludicrous. Einstein tried to disprove the existence of God in his latter years. When he did the math and looked objectively at the universe he came to a conclusion. That the universe was too perfect and was in fact not a collection of random events as had been believed. Einstein stated that the univers had t have been created by an imagination far beyond his comprehension.

Is life too complex to have arisen by itself? But surely, whoever/whatever created it had to have been even more complex. So how could that creator have arisen by itself?

Ah. That is the real question. What came first the chicken or the egg.

Not at all. Lots of animals have eggs besides chickens. So there were eggs long before there were chickens.

How does evolution blatantly contradict all scientific knowledge...? It's not like evolution is totally ridiculous and illogical, that scientists should just laugh at Darwin.
