I do not own Portal or any of the characters. I am just an insignificant insect that is just a fan. All characters belong to Β©Valve CorporationI love the game Portal & especially Portal 2...
To me it was surprisingly emotional for me & I questioned my character allot in the game.
I wanted Chell to emerge triumph but not without battle-scars. She had been through so much & practically beaten to a pulp. Chell had been betrayed & hurt. She had to use her mind & skills to the limit, but what I saw what was mostly emotional for me & I would believe the character Chell... is being turned on by someone she had to trust.
Then had to side with her nemesis, to beat her once friend.
I imagine she had to be strong in more than just strength but in spirit too.
She looked around the wheat field. All around her was wheat rippling in waves by the cool breeze of fresh air. She stood still as though she half expected to it all to be snatched away in the next breath... which after awhile, she breaths out the breath that was tight in her chest. She then turns around & at all the space around her. She then looks to the sky... & a tear falls from her eye...
I can imagine...she looked in many directions... including towards the sky.

I always asked myself...if Wheatley did appear again... what kind of character would I be to forgive him? I think that is what bothered me in the game. I think at first I would until I really thought about what Chell had been through..then I realize perhaps forgiveness is possible...but it won't come easy.
I really so hope they bring Stephen Merchant back for Portal3... I really would like these two to be reunited. Imagine the drama & comedy!

Nice job on the subtleties, like Chell's skin and clothes being dirty and stained with gels.
I'm pretty sure that, without advanced medical assistance, Chell is going to die of cancer or some kind of lung disease (like Cave did) fairly soon because of being exposed to all those toxins. What's more, I think that she knew it and she knew that GLaDOS expelling her from the Enrichment Centre was effectively a death sentence. However, I think she regards it as a price worth paying for even a short time of freedom.
Of course, I suspect that there's a Freeman out there somewhere who would be more than willing to help the only living human who knows about Aperture's technology and where they built the Borealis.

I don't think he was bad, just overwhelmed with power. I probably would be too if one minute i was a core that cant move on my own to being hooked up to the whole dang facility.

Only thing that caught my eye was that her boobs are not symmetric. the right one (from her pov) is smaller..

It'd be relatively simple to paint over and realign that bit of cleavage from above her singlet. The rest of her boobs are just fine.

The hypothetical real meaning of the ending, the one where Chell is kill by the turrets in the elevator and what we see is a metaphor because, according to the Greek mythology, when the hero or the virtuous die, he/she ear music, go to Heaven/Elysium, wich is a wheatfield and is accompanied by his/her bestfriend? Aka the companion cube that was incinerate?
I don't know the Greek mythology well enough to confirm or refute this, but if this was true, the ending remain the most beautiful in videogame history. It's wonderful no matter what is real or what was intended by the developpers.

Chell isn't dead. Numberous of people asked valve this and they replied saying this wasn't intended, and chell is very much alive at the end of portal 2.

She's now totally free, but
She has nowhere to go, lost in a devasted world (see the Half-Life serie).
She is the most lonely person in the world, no one care for her, everyone she use to know are dead decades ago and the few people she meet had try to kill her.
She once needed to survive, it was her only purpose, but she's now without any goal.
She has all the reasons to be sad.

Isn't it the choice we ALL have. Yes, most of us have family or friends to support us, but we all go out to this world alone. It is not a bad thing. It is the part of the facts of life.
We make battle buddies & make our own world of family of friends.... We make choices that we pay consequences for.
She may have had a sense of security in Arpeture but ask anyone who gets out of prison, would they rather go back?
A friend once said to me... I fight to make sure anyone has the right to make their own mistakes.
