Description
This is another Golden Age comics inspired piece. This time it's a character called Neptina . She was the queen of an undersea kingdom of fish-men. She was constantly fighting with the surface world, and often opposed by Lt. Brad Fletcher of the Navy, who she was highly attracted to. Like a lot of comics of that time, the story was clearly derivative of H. Rider Haggard's She, only set under the ocean.In the foreground is Brad Fletcher and his romantic interest Norma Kane, a film star captured by Neptina. She was captured so that Neptina could harvest her lungs so she could survive on land, but she was rescued by Brad in the first story arc.

Congratulations for the design of Queen Neptina! I like the characters from the GOLDEN AGE of Comics and am producing a series of graphic novels where Queen Neptina faces other aquatic heroes as Subbie, Sub Sanders, The Shark-man, Argo, Red Torpedo, and more!
