I'm so proud of this one! I just feel like it really turned out well, and it's always awesome when art turns out reasonably close to how you see it in your head.

It was fun to draw Ali again, I played around with her design some. The first pass on Ali's design was super trashy [link] ...my original idea was that Naomi was kind of a bad influence on her and this was going to be like a clubbing outfit...ultimately, I abandoned that whole idea because I felt it worked better to have her go the OPPOSITE way and have her, as Naomi's friend, really be the one who's pulling for Curt and is concerned about his state of mind, putting strain on her friendship with Naomi.

Also...that first design, it was just way too much. I dunno, I felt like sexualizing the character to that degree was in poor taste, when that's basically Naomi's character anyway. So the second design is more toned down, stays more in character, and the art is better, too!

Also, I tried to show that the bus stop I always show them standing at is right across the street from Curt's apartment building in panel 4, where he's going inside. That's why they're always hanging around there!
