Description
This started off as a doodle, and slowly, painfully evolved into the current scene. I'm not sure if it's really 'science fiction' but that's the best I could do. After I finished it, I got the impression that my mind was subconsciously going on about the bombing in the deserts of Afghanistan.Related content

I think this is great. The figures represent the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse ? The light reminds me of Turner's paintings.

Nice! Very sweet colors.
I remember standing on top of a mountain in Lebanon and I was at just about the same height as the clouds. This really reminds me of that.
Nothing I would change except maybe make the dark left shadow on the second guy a bit lighter.

mm, very atmospheric ! the composition is rather par for the genre, but as such it is always effective; sky is beautifully done, the lighting on the cloak .. !
in terms of color usage & brush strokes, this reminds me of some of boris vallejo's stuff ;D so i guess yeah, you could certainly classify it as sci-fi

It resembles something out of Dune, but now that you mention it, it does have the feel of what's happening in Afghanistan right now.
Regardless, nice brooding reds and the cloaked figures are pretty menacing.
