As some of you, I will be shortly having my second ceramics show in less than two weeks, and I thought I'd share some of my favorite pieces.

My favorite form of firing is raku- a japanese firing process that has you opening the kiln at it's highest heat- about 1000 degrees Fahrenheit- and pulling the pots out using iron tongs to put them in airtight trash bins.

The metals in the glazes and this rapid cooling process in a vacuum creates a wild array of colors. No two pieces are identical.
