Description "He who walks the Sacred Path
Is wrapped in flayed skins
Bound in chains
Drowned in blood
Left thirteen days
Then woken with a virgin's kiss
Shall forever serve the righteous
And torment the infidel
Knowing neither pain nor fear
In the transcendent guise of Chainclaw..."

Like a mummy version of Pinhead/Hellraiser. Even the bio in the poem sound Clive Barkerish. Awesome!!!

The chains sort of remind me of Malignus from Mortasheen Good job with this one anyway!

The spiky chain design is chilling.

I love the poem & the drawing, but why censor them? There's no gratuitous sex or violence - not one tit showing & no drops of blood.

I thought I'd add "mature content" to warn anyone who wants to see nothing but bunnies and sunshine. Over the years I've copped a lot of criticism for my generally dark subject matter. Some of the worst came from my family, and while I've resigned myself to the fact we'll never be on the same page it was pretty disheartening at the time. You're still right in saying there's no sex or violence here, so I've removed the mature content filter.

I'd only be censoring my work if I stopped doing it altogether - rest assured that won't happen so long as I can hold a pen!

Great news that you won't stop doing art. Thanks for your explanation, too. I've submitted more explicit stuff than that & I was starting to wonder if I should have censored it a bit more.

Love this. I don't know how you do it but you always seem to deliver one masterpiece after another.

This is a new take on an old theme as some long term watchers have noticed. It's definitely one of my best ink drawings - the challenge now is to go one better!

Hmmm... Yes I think I recall seeing something similar to this one when I creeped through your deviations.

My Favorite things...Hooks & Chains.
This is a completely jaw dropping remake of an old piece you made. The perspective makes it even the better. Not since my own literary writings (that are currently non-existant on here haw haw) have i seen such morbid but awe struck wonder.

This one's gone down well with the Hellraiser fans. I always liked the concept but thought the old version could be improved. Besides the perspective I've added more barbs on the hooks and chains and made the skin more ragged. The one thing lacking here is colour - I think it works well as an ink drawing but I might post a photoshopped version some day.

I'd be keen to read some of your written work if you're ever in the mood to share it!

I wrote the poem to go with the picture back in 2009.

There's not much that needs to be said about this except don't go trying it at home. It's a new version of an old pic I did a couple of years ago - this time round I added some perspective and foreshortening to the outstretched arm and put more work into the chains.
