Description
How the snapdragon came into being remains a mystery; some theories include genetic engineering, or the dumping of nuclear waste on a colony of scorpions, beetles, and lizards, but it exists nonetheless. The snapdragon is nearly the length of a person's forearm; it's closest relative is the click beetle. When threatened, or flipped onto its back, the snapdragon will "snap" the hinge between its thorax and abdomen, resulting in a sound somewhat akin to a gunshot as the dragon flips high into the air. Though thought of as a pest, these stressful, inoffensive creatures should be welcome in people's yards, for the snapdragon feeds almost entirely on dandilions.

Don't ask. Seriously. It was late and I was tired and bored, thus was born the Snapdragon, complete with description....maybe it's because of all the click beetles we have around here....
