Description Drawn after watching Manticore, one of SciFi's original movies. God, was it awful. It was entertaining, however, and so I drew my own version of a manticore.

That was on December 1, 2005. I inked my manticore on October 11 of last year with a ballpoint pen. Spaced out sketching and inking can be fun.

This is cool manticore you've made here. Only thing that throws me off is that its missing a 'humaniod' face and the three rows of teeth they are said to have. I like how you incorperated a raptor claw on his hind feet .

*nod* Traditional manticores do have human faces and three rows of teeth, but I wanted to try something different with mine - including those raptor claws! Thank you for your comment.

No problem, actually I think he looks better as he is, all bestial looking. While I was thinking but those things I also remembered that they throw their tail spines too, perhaps since he has fur there, he sheds it like that one type of tarantula, blinding and irritating anything that attacks from the rear. The barbed hairs would surly feel like 'spines' after a couple dozen of them are sticking to their eye balls .
