Description This is an alternative version of my spacedock model. I have given it a docking ring so that ships waiting to use the dock have somewhere to park while they wait.

The docking ring is essentially the same docking ring as on my Midaway station model.

Rendered using POV-Ray 3.6 on 5th December 2012.

What starship class is the ship below the drydock? It looks really cool.

It's a ship of my own design called the USS Paul Dirac. It is supposed to be a cruiser or perhaps a through-deck cruiser (it has a large shuttlebay with either two or three entrances depending on the version of the model). I haven't got the design quite right yet, though.

You can see a video of it here jim197.deviantart.com/art/USS-… and there are also numerous stills of it in my Star Trek gallery jim197.deviantart.com/gallery/… and my WIPS gallery jim197.deviantart.com/gallery/… .

Kinda looks like my Station Omni One in the TOS era.

Its small but it gets the job done.

Hmmmm? That sounds intriguing. A smaller version of my Omni One in the TOS era.

Two drydocks next to each other sharing the same center structure and the lower portion centered in the middle.

It is an interesting idea, but I was thinking of stacking two drydocks vertically with a habitat between them. I have a notion that it would work better.

Certainly looks good, perphaps this could be the start of some sort of complex with connected spacedocks ?

It's an interesting idea. I might try stacking two spacedocks one above the other, with habitat modules between them. Thanks for the suggestion
