Jaedyn Esperanza Hernandez started as a beat cop in Gotham city. Considered one of the few honest officers in the force, she quickly rose through the ranks, until she was accepted into the FBI Considered one of their best undercover operatives, she eventually became a training officer. She was called back to the field to investigate the disappearance of her protégé and the mysterious death of her partner. Discovering the underground world of Darkstalkers, Jaedyn went back undercover as a catgirl to investigate. But soon realizing she needed to hide her human scent, Jaedyn turned to an experimental serum by Dr Boris von Gerdenheim, with the warning that too many repeated doses could lead to irreversable side effects.

Unfortunately for Jaedyn, she was unable to avenge her student, before she had become a catgirl herself.

Recognizing the threat from the newly uncovered Darkstalkers, and that Catgirls seemed the friendliest of the lot, the decision was make to form a task force of brave volunteers to combat this menace. Thus the Catgirl Patrol was formed. Unfortunately for the new catgirls, the treat was soon ended by Queen Morigan's decisive actions. The regular human criminal element was quick to develop counters ranging from squeeky mousies, laser pointers, yarnballs, to *gasp* catnip to counter the would be heroines. With the experiment declaired a failure, the cats were quietly pensioned off.
