It is particularly sad that I spoiled that bit though, because my sister did the same to me. I mentioned I was going to read it and she went ZOMG SANTA CLAUS. I hadn't read it yet, thank you very much.

Game of Thrones is technically referring to just the first book. A Song of Ice and Fire is the name of the series. The TV show based on the book, however, is calling the whole series A Game of Thrones.
Haha, damn. It's like THE spoiler of the series, along with another one that people have been kind enough not to spoil for me. I've had a bunch of other stuff spoiled, though, but dunno if I care too much - not sure if I can finish reading the books (I haven't finished watching the show yet 'cause I like to try to read the books first, but sorta lost interest/ran out of momentum).

Something like Richard gets drafted onto a Deathball team, which is basically death football, and he's so amazing at it he inspires a revolution, and wins the war, and becomes a god, and sends all the dirty, horrible evil heathens who disagree with him away to their own planet, where they forgot where they came from, and it turns out that planet is called EAAAAARRRRTH.
Man, I just can't say or type that last part without caps or excessive letters :V
