Description I was originally going to try to make my last picture for 2011 in 11 minutes, but I ended up taking 40, and submitting it in 2012. I am a giant bumb.

Ummm story...

This is Laste Levens, frontiersman of the dark deep. He is with his crow mount, checking the time to see if they can make it back before the New Year. Guess what? They are late! Looks like they will be eating soup out of a shoe tonight.

It was really hasty, but it was a fun coloring exercise. I should go to bed now.

I love his intense facial expression. Although I suppose I'd have that expression as well if I realized that I was late and as a consequence would have to eat soup out of a shoe. I also love the fact that he apparantly uses a bird mount underground.

The next question is, how big must the shoe for the bird be so that it too may have dinner? And is it a human shoe, or perhaps a giant bird shoe such as they surely use for their giant bird mounts in the Deep Dark?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JohnSu In reply to Riverfox237 [2012-01-02 23:44:52 +0000 UTC]

It is a big leathery boot.
The crow mount will simply take several gulps.

Also, they are not underground.

Riverfox237 In reply to JohnSu [2012-01-03 03:45:25 +0000 UTC]

*nods understandingly* I suppose crow mount shoes would be rather difficult to obtain, anyway.

Oh! I apologize. I made assumptions based on the texture of the wall and the term 'deep dark', which made me think of things that are deep and dark, ergo potentially underground. But now I'm filled with curiosity about where they actually are.

The first thing I did was "ctrl+f" the word "bumb" to see how many times it showed up in the comments. I have never seen it spelled that way and I am enchanted.

Also: Crow mount! I have been thinking about this ever since stumbling across this picture here: [link] Which probably won't show up but, but... I mean, obviously, it would need a saddle, right? Could you sit astride it as it hopped about, or would that be too jarring? Would it be better to put your legs over its shoulders or under its wings? Could you perhaps circumnavigate this problem by installing a Lay-Z-Boy recliner and having done with it...?

Ugggh, your drawings make me way too giddy. It's draining. And terribly enjoyable.

There is an alternative saddle-less means of mounting the crow: [link]
