My pride has fallen, and I've left it behind.Through the wasteland of my own destiny, I know I'll walk alone.
There's only brief glimpses of the humanity I once knew, and I wonder if I am better off this way.
But, then again, more than darkness persuaded me upon this path...
and I'll come home again, once my destiny had come full circle.
'Ware me, my friends... 'ware me well...

Overall time to complete : 15 hours.
Resources used : 2 raw potatos, 1 bowl of Ramen, 2 hardboiled eggs. Back away people im a ticking bomb
anyhow... really happy with how this came out. Tried a few new things, and, to me, they came out well.
Take the time to FULLVIEW or you'll miss the detailing.
And lemme know what you think, eh? I know ive gotten REALLY behind lately.. its this time of year, HORRIBLE for me.
NOTE 2: Sorry for the edits... noticed a couple hokey areas that needed correcting hehe all done now

This is very intruiging. It's very dark and brooding...the way certain shapes or images in the piece are hidden or mysterious really helps on that one and it keeps you looking and wondering just what exactly is going on. Fitting title, there is much more than darkness going on here. I adore the moon.

wow I love the moon slightly obscured by the clouds (really reminds me of the Omen & warewolf in the new harry potter video). Great colours chosen, and well done on the way u emphasized and brought out the face to make it central to the whole thing.

The pain and desolation is so well depicted in the man's tortured face and pained expression!
Through the wasteland of my own destiny, I know I'll walk alone.
I love the lonely path...where he will walk alone...but towards the light......
There's only brief glimpses of the humanity I once knew, and I wonder if I am better off this way.
...just a bit of light in the upper right corner...bleak, but bright at the same time, such as contrast to the very intense darkness all around!
But, then again, more than darkness persuaded me upon this path...
and I'll come home again, once my destiny had come full circle.
And he is facing the light, looking toward it, because that is where the path eventually leads, as bleak and lonely as it may be...there is always hope....just need to follow the light, however long it takes...the closer you get to the light, the brighter the light becomes!
This is the message I get comparing the beautiful prose and the unbelievably moving art you have created. Hoping that I am not too far off!

I'm going to take a huge leap and tell you what I see, please correct me if I'm wrong (as time allows you).
I see street lights, a road, and the image at the bottom, a woman perhaps? An accident, maybe more. The blood upon his lips is what draws me to this conclusion
Either way once again you brought just enough light into the entire work. I love how you can make something so dark yet balance it so well with just a bit of light. Nicely done

sparse detail, but the idea of this was obviously a overcompasing dark - which is thoroughly presented.
i think the effective part about this, is that it makes you think - makes you envision.

hmmm... the figure looks alive... I expect it to come out of the night, grab my hand and sweep me into the darkness for ever.
there is something extremely strong about this image... the thing is I can't quite point it yet. it's that light in the back... as if there are two mountains there, and an opening between them, and there is light on the other side, and maybe hope, but not for him. never... for him. nor for any other who might step on that ground.
such a dark, dark night.
