Do I regret what I did? No. Regret is for the weak, and I know I am anything but that.... and so my beautiful wings, promised and given to me for all eternity, have been stolen away... replaced by these charred and darkened, sad excuses for wings. But that's fine. I think they suit me better, anyhow...
Never forget me, and what you have done. I swear, my return will be glorious.

Yeah this one definately took me forever, but i rather like it. Wanted to do a piece that i didnt desaturate a lot, and so here you go
I dont normally do pictures of angels, or demons, etc. I know theyve been done, and done again. But this one seemed... fitting... somehow to me. And thus is born what you see.
Feedback on this is essential to me. Do you like the more colorful works? Or does it suck as much as I fear you will think?
Ahh well. I love it, and that's what counts in the end, I guess.

I do sooooooo love using my own stuff, but sometimes a stock will strike me as something special and just begs to be worked with

I definitely am loving this--except one thing. The way you didn't erase the black around the girl on that layer. Other than that, it's awesome--I just find that takes away from the picture; unless, of course, you meant to do it that way.

Congratulations of trying something more different. Full colour for once
Now. Critique time. The clouds and smoke... You can tell a clone brush has been used to extent the cloud. Especially on the right hand side; you can see the semi transparent sections overlapping each other. I particulary like how the angel is placed and blended in, into the dark swamp area. But, Heaven's gates... I think it should have much more brilliance, like a golden light so we could tell what it was. It wasn't until I read the other descriptions on what it was lol. The bottom of the clouds is a bit too sharp, try offsetting it by using brushes or blurring the area, adding more areas of light and debris.
Great effort though.
