The amazing Sabriel, of Garth Nix.I have no idea why, but to me she's always had an oriental look...Lirael never has, but then their mothers weren't the same so maybe Sabriel's mum was a bit more eastern.

for and because they were there every Friday in the art room talking about it with me when I first started feeling the love.
EDIT: YES i know the collar isnt there, but i also cant be bothered to draw one on for your peace of mind.

I've browsed through quite some drawings of Sabriel and I came back to this one because I feel like it has captured her spirit best. I've always imagioned her hair black and the bells bigger and the coat more, erm, practical but... it's her. it's definitelly very much her. You've done well.

I've never really thought of Sabriel as having an oriental look to her - mostly because I wouldn't want her to - but apart from that, this is very much how I imagined her to look. A bit more deep blue in my head, on the coat with the silver keys on it.
Was Mogget white? I always imagine him/her/it to be black. Bah... whatever.

Good except for the color of the hair, raven, nope u didn't get anywhere close to raven. It's good style though. And those eyes just aren't surreal enough I was picture more of a moonlight shock to them, plenty of ethereal gleam would be nice XD.

I love Sabriel and it's a beautiful interpretation, but I think Sabriel looks bitter and angry. I mean she was sad and down most of the book but she's a resilient happy person.

Truly fantastic. I'm rereading the books right now, I really like your interpretation of the character. Plus, I can tell how carefully you read. Half the fan art in here shows the bells just hanging unprotected, which is nit-picky of me to be annoyed with, but the text obvious shows that the handles are downwards and the bells are sort of sheathed in leather. Really nice work. Fantastic.

Sabriel in her Abhorsen get-up - yeah that's pretty awesome. While her face is different from the US cover of 'Sabriel' it's probably closer to the mental image I have of her. You forgot Mogget's collar and eye-colour though.

Ooh, excellent! Sabriel is described as having short hair in the book--I can see her having a hairstyle very similar to the one you gave her. Fantastic detail on her coat and Abhorsen accessories! I also appreciate the inclusion of Mogget; he was my favourite character.
